Apple & Pear Tart

I made this as a "second option" for C's birthday ... for those who did not want cake. Both kids and adults enjoyed it. This is incredibly easy and would probably be worth trying with berries as well, or different flavored jams. yum yum.

1 sheet of ready to roll puff pastry
3 apples (cored, peeled & sliced thin)
2 pears (cored, peeled & sliced thin)
½  cup apricot jam or preserves

1.       Heat oven to 180 C (160 C fan/350 F).
2.       Roll pastry out onto a lined cookie sheet and score the edges of the pastry to make a ½ inch border all the way around it.
3.       Warm the apricot jam on low heat and once runny, smooth it over the pastry, staying inside the edges you have just created.
4.       Fan the apples and pears over the jam.
5.       Bake for 15 – 20 minutes until the apples are tender and the pastry is golden brown.
